Coyote X-Pac™
Peak Design bags have traditionally been sheltered from the elements by our proprietary nylon canvas, which we recently named Versa Shell™. We spent years developing Versa Shell™ to meet our high standards of longevity, abrasion-resistance, weatherproofness, and sustainability. The launch of 11 special edition bags in Coyote X-Pac® marks the first time we've used a 3rd party shell material on production products. In doing so, we pay homage to X-Pac® for manufacturing their classic fabric more sustainably than ever before.
Coyote X-Pac® VX-21 Ocean Edition is American-made and features an exterior shell made from 100% recycled fishing nets. The fabric's multilayer laminated construction incorporates a 22° diamond patterned post-consumer recycled polyester thread, called X-PLY®. This creates an iconic technical aesthetic and unique handfeel that stays smooth and crisp over the life of the bag. X-Pac® has very similar durability, weatherproofing, and sustainability profiles as Peak Design's proprietary Versa Shell™ fabric. Bags with Coyote X-Pac® fabric have a higher material cost, and therefore are slightly more expensive. See specs for material details.
